John M. Dawes

John M. Dawes, FACHE

Chief Executive Officer

John M. Dawes joined Rusk Rehabilitation Center in January 2017 as CEO in which he oversees the day-to-day operations as well as patient quality and care. Bringing more than 35 years of healthcare leadership experience to the role, his most recently oversaw 101 licensed beds in an acute care setting. He achieved his bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Wichita State University and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Washington University School of Medicine. John is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has received many honors for his work as a healthcare leader including the 2014 American Hospital Association’s Grassroots Champion Award for Missouri and the 2015 Missouri Hospital Association Visionary Leadership Award. 

Greg Worsowicz

Gregory Worsowicz, M.D., MBA

Medical Director

Dr. Worsowicz became the Chairman of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Missouri, and Medical Director of Rusk Rehabilitation Center in 2002. He oversees the clinical, educational, and research programs offered at the Rusk Rehabilitation Center. His clinical and research interests include developing post-acute rehabilitation programs, healthcare policy, and geriatric rehabilitation. He feels that the healthcare team at Rusk is prepared to face the future challenges of our healthcare system.

Monica Gooch

Monica Gooch, MSN, RN, CRRN

Business Development Director

Monica received her bachelor’s degree in communications and marketing in 2009 and her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2010. Monica joined Rusk Rehabilitation Center in June of 2011 and is a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse. Monica’s clinical background includes brain injury, stroke and spinal cord rehabilitation. In 2014, Monica received her master’s degree in executive nursing administration from the University of South Alabama. Monica enjoys helping patients enhance their quality of life.

Lori Mann

Lori Mann, MSN, MHA, RN, NE-BC, CRRN

Chief Nursing Officer

Lori joined Rusk in October of 2014. She earned her master’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in health administration from the University of Phoenix and achieved board certification as a nurse executive in 2011. Lori’s clinical background is in emergency medicine, intensive care, and rehabilitation, as well as, nurse leadership. Lori believes that rehabilitation nursing is the most rewarding field of nursing because nurses have the opportunity to inspire hope for individuals with life changing events.

Robin Prater

Robin Prater

Director of Human Resources

Robin joined Rusk Rehabilitation Center in 1997, when Rusk became a joint venture of HealthSouth and the University of Missouri. She earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Columbia College and has worked in the Columbia, MO healthcare community for more than 25 years.  

Mary Schnell

Mary Schnell, MSN, RN

Director of Quality Assurance and Risk Management

Mary joined Rusk Rehabilitation Center in December 2011. She has a master's degree in Health Care Leadership from the University Of Missouri Sinclair School Of Nursing.  Mary’s clinical background includes specialty areas of trauma, medical- surgical nursing, behavioral health, and leadership skills.  Her experience with CMS and Joint Commission surveys will provide an in-house resource for staff and peers. She is excited to bring her experience and knowledge of evidence based practice to the Rusk patient population and staff.

Tori Sisson

Tori Sisson, M.A., CCC-SLP

Director of Therapy Operations

Tori joined Rusk in December 2003 as speech therapy manager, and in July 2013 was promoted to her current position of director of therapy operations. Tori has more than 14 years of therapy experience and 10 years of management experience. She earned her bachelor’s degree in health sciences from the University of Missouri in Columbia and a master’s degree of arts from Truman State University. “As a therapist with a true compassion for patient care, I am excited to lead our therapy department to a higher standard of outcomes for patients that we treat.”

Amy Terezopolus

Amy Terzopoulos, LPN, MSW, LCSW

Director of Case Management

Amy joined Rusk in 2011 as director of case management. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Stephens College and her master’s in Social Work from the University of Missouri Columbia. She comes to Rusk with six years of acute care case management experience. Amy’s enthusiasm for her role at Rusk comes from working with a team of experts who are dedicated to making miracles happen.
